I thought you just bought all new tires. A 275 will limit your turning radius more then a 265. You may want to go with a 355 up front

I had 275's on 9.5" rims on the front of my 01 GT, never had a problem. You do want to make sure your tires are within 5% of tire height or you'll throw a ABS code.

Josh... Like Tim (LR 01 Cobra) said you can run a 275/35/18 on the front, granted they are a 9inch rim... it is what I will be running on the FR500's... but you will have rubbing issues when you go around turns, it will happen regardless (like Bob said about decreasing the turning radius)
The other problem you will have with running a wider tire is that groves in the road will be more prevelant in your stearing...

its not a big deal either way. i just dont like how my rims stick out just a little bit farther than my tires in the front.
