I'm not familiar with Toyota suppliers.

what are the specs on the motor?

Arias will make anything, SRP/JE or Wiseco might have something in the works.

Also, which motor, 5.7L I assume :)

Ross custom made some pistons for the 4.7L that is shared with the Lexus SC400, they are using Chevy 327 rods with very minor machining.

No, it's not.

Toyota doesn't make Tundra pistons. I'm trying to find out who does.

Actually the Tundra is a good truck and very reliable . There is a reason there resale value is higher than the domestics .What sucks about them ?

funny how when there is a flaw or some problem with an asian automakers product, it kind of gets "swept under a rug"...it doesnt hit the main stream media so to say. but if a similar situation happens to a domestic manufacturer, it seems like it is plastered all over the main stream.
can you imagine if gm, ford, or daimler would have been popped for making the odometers register faster than they should? the media would have gone wild. but, it was honda, and i have only heard about it once.

The issue has been around since 1988 on the Civics.

With stock size tires my Civic's odometer read about 2% high and speedo was 4-5 mph fast at 70 mph. I went +1 size to 185/60/13, odometer was now correct, but speedo was still reading faster.

Stepped to 185/65/14 and speedo is dead on, which was my goal, now the odometer reads about 6% less. But seeing I have 248,000 miles, it's not a issue to me.

The people who got burn on leasing....I'd be pissed.

I have had a Tundra for the last 5 years its been a kick ass truck. I problem is people putting super chargers to them. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that a engine that is normally aspirated will blow up if you put a charger on it with too much boost. There is not a N/A engine out there that wouldn't have the same problem, under the same circumstances.

Truth is Asian or domestic, there isn't a perfect manufacture out there. Kind of like politicians. The Tundra blows up under boost and you have to always reset the check engine light on a Ford LOL.
