Just thought I would post up a couple of pics of the progress on Brandon's 87 LX hatch.
94-95 spindles and new hubs, w/ Eibach Drag Launch springs and Strange adjustable struts:

Anniversary Cobra calipers, Brembo rotors, and energy suspension end links:

The car will also have MM braided brake lines, 93 cobra master cylinder, energy suspension offset rack bushings, 95 Cobra R's, and I can't remember what all he is doing with the rear.

I am doing somthing alot like that. I am looking for a 93 cobra master cylinder, but i have almost everthing else. I think that you will need to look into a bump steer kit. but thats just what i think, you may not need one.

He may wanna ditch the sway bar if he is gonna expect the drag springs to help him out.

That is a possibility, but I think he also wants to drive the car on the street a lot.

Thats up to him whether he wants to take it off or not, I would def. say remove it if he's goin to the track. But back when my car had the sway car off, I hated the way it felt. It was very noticeable IMO.

Thanks for posting the pics James... cant wait to get it done completely. And I am undecided about the sway bar issue... seems kinda waste if the sway bar will hurt the springs?

Also in the rear im doing strange shocks, weight jacker lca, adj uppers, and most likely some subframe connectors.

I have 4" welds in front, and my car doesnt drive any different without the sway bar than before.
Altough my car is a hell of a lot different now. WOW!

Finally got the brakes bled last night after 2 Master Cylinders, got the wheels on and lowered on the ground. I like the new wheels a ton and the front is stiff as can be. James took some pics, post em up James!
P.S. The hack who had the wheels before me put 245 tires on the Cobra R wheels, thats why it looks like $###

Actually the 245/45's are ok, its the 225's on the front that are insanely too small of tires for that size wheel.
I'll get the pics up tonight. Another cobra-braked fox roaming the streets!!

:HYF: to you again, because the fronts have 225's while the rears are 245/45/17's.
I just put those back there for now, until you can get new tires. Make sure you get 275/40/17's and 245/45/17's. Those have the identical sidewall.
Matt how well did those Nitto's hook? What 60fts were you cutting?

Calm down lol... I thought all four had 225?

I had originally thought that, because the first wheel you brought over had the 225 on it. But the rears do have 245's on them. 225's on a 9" wheel ...

Here it is with the wheels on and on the ground, hopefully these springs settle a lot, cuz this thing is 4x4!!:

if you have drag springs on your car - you better get used to the 4x4 look ... those will NOT settle ......
the mac diff cover looks nice, makes it easy to put fluid in ...

I never ran the Nittos....they were just the regular NT555's....not the NT555DR's. I ran some 275-40-17 BFG DR's at the track.
But I did cut 1.70 sixty's launching at 6k on a basically stock suspension and stock halfshafts. :D

i would like to see you run the mickey thompson et drag radials .... i think you would see a nice 11.6x's - 11.7x's by looking at your trap speed .... you pull the same mph as me and i've hit 11.50's ......... but watch that rear end, lol ... :bigthumb

I was talking about my old 01 Cobra.
I run 275 MT DR's on my 03....I've had serious traction problems at the T'nT sessions that I've hit....high 1.7's/low 1.8's spinning or bogging like hell. I've been unable to make an event with real track prep. :(
I have three problems....1) I can't drive, 2) traction/lack of track prep, 3) I can't drive. :D
There's plenty of guys across the country who have gone 11.3-11.4 at 120-123 mph with the same power and weight that I'm at. :(

I figured it would settle a little bit at least in the front, because those spring isolators aren't even fully down into the perches on the control arm yet.
