well my radio in my sc hasn't really worked since i bought it.... and today it 100% died...so i going to replace it..... need your opinion on it....what do you guys think is a "good" CD player

it has a Factory amp and a 10" JBL sun that hit pretty hard...(when it was working anyway) and 4 other JBL speakers

i have no idea if this will "fix" my radio related problems but i was gonna replace it anyway so its where i am going to start....

there's a poll..please vote and or state your opinion if you have a radio that you love or whatever you have to share.

i see no poll, but i would go with a JVC headunit...preferrably one in the Arsenal series like the KD-AR820 which has USB input for MP3 players, memory sticks, and card readers...it just kicks ass...and its not too pricey either

I love the sound JVC has, (I've had tons of JVC home and car stuff) but their quality just hasn't been there. Every Pioneer I've ever had just hasn't sounded that good. Kind of like something is missing from them. I've owned 2 Kenwood decks, haven't had a single problem out of either of them, and they sound really good. Plus, Kenwood offers Sirius tuners, and I'm not sure if the other two do. (I'm at work and can't click on the links.)

I'm big on Panasonic right now, but on your list I voted for JVC.

I'm a fan of alpine. I've got a CDA-9855 in the mustang and love it. A little pricey though.

When I worked in the car audio dept at Best buy, we tried to steer people away from the JVC's, we had lots of returns on them. I've always been happy with the higher end Pioneers. Although I do like the USB input on the JVC. Maybe their quality is on an upswing?

I've used Kenwood, Pioneer, JVC, and Alpine in the past.

Overall, I preferred my Alpine and Kenwoods over the rest, but I'm currently using a Pioneer deck in my Jeep. (I just wanted something that would play mp3's)

Have you done stereo installs before? If not, you may want to get somebody that's done a few to hang out while you do it. Twisting wires together and wrapping them with electrical tape isn't going to cut it.

I don't even solder my own stereo stuff. I just use crimp connectors. The only time I solder connections in a car is when it comes to signal voltages like MAF, MAP, O2, etc...
