I broke several minispools prior to breaking down and getting a full spool. I ran 10.80's when I did which isn't too far off of your 11.30's.

Ricky..your running 28 spline axles right? If so...either go with a full spool and cclip eliminators or 9" ends...or get a good posi (eaton, auburn pro). I broke 2 31 spline track locks running alot slower than you are before I went with a real spool.

Ya..just get a traclock rebuild kit..then swap around the clutches and steel disks to add another clutch on each side. It should hold up awhile...till you rip the spider gears out of it:)

just picked the kit up this morning 45.00 ... thats what we planned on doing, switching the clutches around ... i just need to make it through a few test and tunes and the UMTR races and i will be happy ...
hey i need to roll my fenders a hair, im barely rubbing when i make a hard turn with shawn in my car 6'6" 280! ... but it does it when im alone ... what is the safest way to do so? ... pm me if you want ...

Can someone explain a mini-spool to me. I think I know what you're refering to, but not up on the mustang termology.
Is it a piece that locks both axles together, that fits inside a convential carrier, where the side gears and spiders would go?
If you go that route, why not just go with a regular spool.
Personally, I'd stay away from the spool. But of course I like pushing my car through turns, and with a spool I'd end getting the red flashing text, "WRONG WAY" in my eyes like video games. hahahah.
