a friend of mine is partin out a 92 explorer witha 4.0, and he has the 8.8 out of it already, it has 5 lug axles obviously, but it has a 3.27 open carrier diff. and drum brakes.

is that worth 50 bucks?

I am considering buying it just cuz its kinda hard to find a mustang control arm style rear end for that price, and i am confident that with a lil cutting measuring and welding, it will fit in a fox :) and i happen to have a 7.5 rear axle that could donate its mounts.

thanks:bigthumb

As far as the mounts go don't forget the axle tubes on those are alot bigger. Honestly I don't think I would go thru the hassle to set it up like a stock 8.8 but if you were doing a lader bar or 4 link it would be a great way to go.

Andy, I got 3.73's for a 7.5, came outta the coupe. You can't have the whole diff cause i still need to roll the car around, but i can send you the ring and pinion if you want.
