my dad has helped me alot with my car...... and i wanna get him some better mufflers....he has talked about flowmaster and magnaflow and dynomax bullets.....

i was thinking that ultra flow bullets are going to have a very nice tone... but with it being a convertible are these going to be to loud? they wont be dumped and it would be a 2.5 cat back...

here's the mufflers..

The bullets are very loud...pretty much a race muffler. I really liked my old dynomax welded ovals...sound much like stock at idle...but very healthy at WOT.

Like Jeff said. It will be LOUD, but I love the way they sound. rscoupe has them on his Real Street car and I love the way it sounds.

i had a set of Ultra Flows on my 84 with long tubes, no cats and 2.5" all the way out the back. they were the oval type that had a straight through design. they were supposed to out flow the "blowmasters" of the time. they were very throaty under normal driving, but when you get into it...they get loud w/o the blowing, hollow can sound of a blowmaster.
I loved them! my .02 cents.

The ultra flow ovals are pretty nice and not too loud. I would avoid the bullets they get old pretty fast.

My brother and I just put on a o/r x-pipe from Summit and a Flowmaster catback on his 90 last night. We haven't got to hear it yet though because he needs to get some plugs....lol. Long story short we've been working on it all winter putyting trickflow heads, rockers and replaced his tranny. He's strapped for cash so we do a little at a time when he can afford the parts. I might have it running Friday as that looks like that may be the best time to head up and hopefully finish the job. If we do i'll try to post a .wav or vid of it running so you can compare the two.

The exhaust was a PITA ass.....lol.
