hey I was wondering if some one could help, I was interested in a 92 mustang gt the title say's cobra but I cant tell if it is for sure here is the vin #1facp42e2nf124872 thanks

i have seen the titles like yours before, my friend owned a 91 that was the same way, heres the deal, Ford last used the Cobra name in like 82 or sumthin like that, and they were on the brink of losing the name or the rights to use the name or sumthin like that, so in order to keep it the titled the GT's as GT/COBRA's.

I decoded it, nothing special, just another GT :)

I had a car fax report account. It expired on the 1st of this month. I offered it to everyone on SBZ and I ran 40 reports in 30 days. OK one guy sent me 8 vin numbers at once but I still did it. It cost me 25.00 for unlimited reports for 30 days. I could do it again as a service to the site. What do you think??
I really should post a thread in the general section and see if anyone is interested.

Any mustang that got exported to Canada said Cobra on the title also. FYI:bigthumb

Lady at the DMV gave me a hard time because my title says "POLICE", took a while to explain it's not a current cop car:lol:

It was issued, in 2000.

Our cars must be early models, i remember decoding mine and it was built in like november of 88 or sumthin like that, mine was even sold all the way up in Cleveland!!:eek:

My vehicle description on my title said HB (hatchback) I was hoping the insurance companies would have thought it was an escort or sumthin!! :lol:

the 89 vert that I own is a late 89 "I think" because it has a 140 mph speedo the title reads gt cbra not cobra wierd ?
