I have an '85 Mustang that I bought a few years ago. The original owner used it as a weekend open track car at Mid-Ohio. I had planned to do the same, but my priorities have changed a bit, and it's time to sell it. The car is pretty much assembled, but is not driveable at present (carb leaks, and probably needs to be rebuilt). I've never had the chance to drive it, but I heard it used to handle pretty well. I can take some pictures to post if anyone is interested. The car is just outside of Lawrenceburg, IN.
Interior
Kirkey seat (not installed, but included) and cover
4 point autopower roll bar with bracing behind driver seat
5 point harness
Carpet, console and seats removed to save weight
Dash in excellent condition- no cracks, etc.
Door panels in excellent condition
Factory sunroof
Suspension
1000#/in springs
Global west delalum front lower control arm bushings
Subframe connectors
Urethane bushings
Driveline
5 speed transmission
8.8†rear end- gears unknown
17†Steeda wheels 4 lug
Kuhmo road race tires (pretty much worn out)
13†Baer brakes on front (Track kit) 4 lug
12.65†Baer brakes on rear (Touring kit) 4 lug
Engine
'90 Mustang stock 302 (90K miles)
Weiand Stealth 4 bbl intake
Holley double pumper 650CFM leaks from accelerator pump area
Body
Gray slight oxidation
Excellent condition no rust or dents
2 cracks in front bumper cover near fog light area
This car would make a great project car for someone. Just needs someone to put in time to finish it up then you can go out and tear it up. I'm asking $3500.

Not that I'm in any situation to buy it right now but it sounds like a cool car. Get some pics up if you can I'd like to see them.

Was this car at Columbus Ohio ford swap meet a few years back ?

It was at the Columbus Ohio swap meet a few years back. Good memory. At that time, it didn't have a motor or tranny in it. I forgot to mention that it has a T5. I'll try to get some pics this afternoon and get them up.

Thanks for the replies. It is a nice car. Only has ~94K miles on it. Almost hate to sell it.

Thanks. It's in really good shape. Has only 94K miles. It really shows when a car is taken care of and kept in the garage.

non factory sunroof?

I don't know Sharad, I didn't even notice it until you mentioned it, good eye! It looks factory to me, too streamlined into the roof for non factory, don't you think?
I'll get pics for you of that red one tomorrow, post them up here.

I'm not sure about the sunroof. I thought it was factory, but I could be wrong. It sure looks factory when I look at the opening. There's no goofy rubber around the cutout on the outside. The glass is stamped Carlite. I can take some closer pics if you like. Let me know.

If it is stamped carlite, chances are it is factory, and the absence of the goofy rubber strip hint at factory too. take some close ups for sure.

It's definitely factory. Here are some better pics of it.

Bingo! Factory sunroof, and in pretty good shape too it looks like.

I thought it was factory. I think I might have an extra sunroof somewhere in the garage that I can leave with the car.

Forgot to mention that the car is completely rust free. Been kept in a garage.

Also has a tubular K member. There are probably other parts that I've forgotten.

This is a great car that with a little work could be ready for the spring driving season. Get it while it lasts!!

There has to be someone out there looking for a springtime project. This car would be great for the upcoming SCCA season. I don't think you'll find a cleaner car that's never been wrecked or painted. Price reduced to $3250.

$3250 OBO. If this doesn't sell this week, I'm probably going to take the car to the Columbus swap meet. This might be your last chance!!

PM sent. Do you have the rest of the interior?
Does it run now? I saw the coil sitting on the intake with no wire.
RSRRyellowfever
03-27-2007, 05:59 PM
Unfortunately, I do not have the rest of the interior. It does run. The carb leaks so it can only run for a short time. The coil was on the intake in the photo because i was putting some of it together. It does run, but it isn't driveable because of the carb leak and the driver seat isn't mounted.
are you willing to take $3000 let me know before you go to the swap meet, can you deliver it to me?
RSRRyellowfever

maybe we can work something out. pm sent.

Several people have expressed interest, but the car is still available. I'm planning to load it up Friday evening for the trip to the swap meet. If anyone in the Cincinnati area is interested, please let me know before then. If it doesn't sell beforehand, it will sell at the swap meet. It really is a nice car. This is your last chance.

Hmmmm;)
I got the radiator replaced today (had a hole in the bottom of the old one):( I got the title changed over, I got new tags and insurance. Put a new serpentine belt on. Put one of my Corbeaus seats in it. Put off road H-pipe and magnaflow mufflers on it (stuff from the coupe) And drove it around the block, sideways!!:D Then it died.:(
Im sure the carb sitting for a few years didnt have anything to do with it:lol:
I hate to say, I hope it rains tomorrow so I can get the carb rebuilt and work on some other bugs and be ready for INDY!!! :cool1:

I got the console and pretty sure I have the arm rest. I will dig them out this week and drop them by your store. I don't think I have a back seat, but I will check.

The carb's probably gummed up. Did it run good? Looks like you got your wish, it's raining. Decker...my '88 is yellow and white and was at the Cavalcade of Customs a few years back. It's had quite a bit done to it. Bischoff built 306, NOS, Baer brakes, Tremec 3550, Kenny Brown Cage, and a lot more. It's nice and clean, hasn't seen the rain in years.
