View Full Version : What brand X-pipe to use on a 92'
Have a 92 that was converted to a carb setup, and currently it has the
H-pipe. Was wondering what X-pipe (without the converters) to go with that has that exotic sound. I heard the FlowTech and it didn't sound any different than the H-pipe. It doesn't even look like a true X-pipe. MagnaFlow looks to be more like a true X-pipe but seem to be a bit pricey. Can anyone shed some light on any other brands that arent overpriced possibly something that Cincy speed sells.
Thanks,
Andy

i have long tube headers ... shorty x pipe (bbk) with magnaflow .... i love the sound .... casual under normal throttle, but the stroker rips under full throttle ....... im very happy with it ... but it will set you back about 950.00 for everything ...
i ran a mac exhaust years back, a good bang for the buck ...

I've got a bassani on mine, and it sounds as good as it can for having Mac flowpaths on it.
Where do you purchase the DR. Gas. Does anyone have a particular part number. Anyone out there near the Florence area have one installed that I could hear.
Thanks for the help,
Andy

I have used the MAC X pipes with success. They fit nice and are only 179 bucks. Just for what it's worth. You can't beat the Dr. Gas stuff either.

I have sold ALOT of the MAC X-pipes, good product, a good sound and in stock:)
Personally, I like the sound of a ProChamber with 3" dumps:D
Do the Mac X-pipe sound just like the Dr. Gas. If I remeber right I thought a friend of mine had one and he said it didn't sound any different than a H-pipe.

Nah, your friend is wrong. I have installed and owned H, X and prochamber, none of them sound the same. The MAC X pipes are a great deal, and I don't recall much of a sound difference between my Dr. Gass and the MAC X. I agree with Craig, the Prochamber is the way to go. I run that on my r/s car and on most of my street cars. Oh, ahem, and I have them in stock too!
