Well i have gotten out of stangs for a spell to poke around in other things, one of those things being motorcycles. I bought an 81 Cb750K last year to ride back and forth from school to save money on gas (and i saved a shit load!). Well i got tired of the look and figure there is no better way to know your vehicle than to take it apart. and as i was taken it apart, more and more i wanted to give it that cafe racer bike style so i said fuck it and went to work. Now im not going to turn it to a true cafe racer, just take some ideas to change the look a bit. Below are the pics from when i first got it till where i am at now.
Well here it is when i first bought it..

And the disassembly starts....

and finally the frame...

After bead blasting it, i took it to work and sprayed the frame with chassis saver. Everything on the bike that is glass black is also chassis saver. I also painted the gas tank and new rear tail flat black.

Here are the parts as they are mostly all done....

I just got my rims back today so i plan on start putting it back together this week. I got them done for free and they are an off white satin finish. Not really the color i wanted (wanted black) but i got it done for free so i cant complain. I am trying to keep this a low budget bike since i know i wont get my money back out of it since this is a budget type build. Plus im trying to do it all myself which i have managed to do so far except powder coating the rims. I also plan on having a set of clubman bars (like drag bars) upside down to give me more of a lean. Plan on also heat wrapping the headers and yellowing the front headlight. There are going to be no front turn signals (cafes dont have them normally) and the rear will be 2 small LEDs that will serve as parking lights/turn signals/brakes. The mirrors will be like the old days and clip ons. I would like to do a wider rear tire also, but we shall see, right now i just want it back together so i can enjoy it. My next bike i do will be done about the same way except i want equal size rims front and rear, and a much wider tire in the rear. I will post pics of it coming together!
