I have the rear disc brakes from a 98 explorer. These brakes can be made to fit a 8.8, but it takes building a custom rearend. I have a freind who does custom rearends, and he has made numerous setups with these. You have to use 9" ends with custom length axles, but the end result is great. With the 9" ends there is no need for c-clip elim,it's 5 lug rear disc, and you can buy brake pads at autozone.These brakes sell for $450 new from Ford, mine are used,I'll take $150.
That includes the entire housing from the explorer including axles, no carrier or gear, but will come with E-brake cables.
