When I pulled my rear end out to do the rebuild/gear swap, I pulled that bracket off of the nose of the rear end, where the driveshaft bolts up, so I could paint the rear end. Somehow during this process, I lost that damn bracket
What is this bracket for?? I'm guessing its an anti vibration piece. Anyone have an extra laying around?

yes...vibration dampening...if you are talking about the weird shaped one. You should not have had to take that off though.

Yea, its weird-shaped, kind of like a "U". I took it off because I painted the rear end.

They call it a dogbone and I took mine off and didn't notice any difference without it.

From what I have read in the past it is designed to work with the facotry gear ration only so if you are running a lower gear then don't worry about it.

That's what I've heard as well.
I took it off all of my geared cars in the past.
